It is kind of incredibly isn't it, how the VHS format refuses to die out even though DVDs have been around for a long time now.
Well get your precious VHS tapes out and format them into DVDs with the Panasonic DMR-EZ48V. This Panasonic DVD Recorder comes equipped with a multi-format DVD drive, which means you can bung any type of blank DVD into the tray (including dual-layer DVD-R and DVD+R) and internally copy VHS tapes onto disc. But of course VHS archiving isn't this unit's only purpose. There's a built-in Freeview tuner too, which means you can record digital TV programmes directly onto DVD (or onto VHS if you prefer) as well as upscale DVD movies to 1080p.
Setting up this VHS DVD Recorder is very straightforward. Hook it up to your TV, plug your aerial into the RF input on the rear and let the Auto Setup mode do its thing. It finds all the Freeview channels fairly quickly, and runs through a few other settings to save you doing it later. General operation of this Panasonic DVD Recorder is also easy - to switch between the VHS and DVD drives, hit the dedicated Drive Select button on the remote, plus another button labelled Input Select lets you toggle through the external inputs.

"I have been using the Panasonic DMR-EZ48K Upconverting VHS DVD Recorder/ATSC Tuner for a couple of weeks now and could not be more pleased with the unit. Purchased it as part of my preparation for the all digital conversion of over-the-air TV in February. (Have NO cable or satellite TV service). Have an older NTSC Panasonic TV set and now using the converter box on the TV, I can watch digital TV on the old set and record a different digital program on the recorder (DVD disc) simultaneously for viewing at a later time, just like I used to with analog and VHS tape. It helps to be computer savvy as the new equipment programs much more like a computer than the old analog equipment did. What is better Superchips or edge?
I am considering getting a tuner / programmer for my 1997 ford f250 7.3 powerstroke. i was wondering if anyone had an opinion or experience with either the superchips max microtuner or edge evolution programmer. thanks
