If you pierce your own lip at home with a safety pin, would it get infected easily?
I don't want to get it pierce by a pro, because i know how to do it with a safety pin. but i always read that people who try this get infected really bad. But i really want to pierce my lip, is there a way i can do it without it getting infected? even if it does get infected, will the infection go away by it self?
The reason it gets infected is because a safety pin isn't sterile, and really can't be made sterile; so you are putting bacteria into the wound from the very start. Doomed to fail.
And no, infections don't "go away by themselves." If it is bad enough that you notice it, it has already overwhelmed your body's ability to handle it. It would need medical attention.
