Help with the Dark Side Of The Moon cover art!?
The cover by Storm Thorgerson, The Dark Side Of The Moon, for Pink Floyd's 1973 album, it's so iconic and famous, but the thing is: It features an effect of light through a prism, then the Newton's sevenfold, with the main colors... but the cover by Storm Thorgerson is intended to have only six colors... I NEED TO KNOW THE MISSING COLOR AND WHY!! HELP PLEASE...
Newton's Sevenfold: Original 5 colors are-- red, yellow, green, blue, violet...orange & indigo were later added.
"Dark Side of the Moon" Cover: from top to bottom--red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet. Indigo is missing.
(or I could be mixing up indigo & violet & the violet is missing....but I really think it's the indigo that was left out)
I have no idea WHY one color was left out...could be because violet & indigo are so similar they tend to blend
together-but that's just a guess)
