Hockey Bearings In Inline skates Are Essential For Speed
Hockey Bearings equal speed! That's correct everyone you need to know about this stuff if you play the sport of roller hockey. Inside the wheels of your skates are hockey bearings. These little balls make the wheels pin faster. If your wheel spins faster, then guess what? You can skate faster! You can play the sport faster. In hockey, speed is winning. If you want to score goals, the easiest way to do so is to get a breakaway. A one on one with the goalie would be very beneficial to someone looking to score right? Think about it. No annoying other players around to knock the puck off of your stick. You can own the sport court!
Will a pair of abec bearings hold up on their own. The answer to that is no. You must, I repeat, you must maitenance them! They need to be lubricated just like all bearings. With hockey skates, it is no different. If you let them be and don't take care of them, they will actually give you a decrease in performance. You won't go as fast. The bearings will begin to make a rattling sound. This is no good. If you hear this rattling noise or a grinding sound, guess what? It is time to get a new set of bearings.
Now, bearings come in all different types. The most common kind are Abec bearings. I think the standard in hockey is Abec 5 or higher. They are not the only brand though. Swiss makes an extremely good pair of bearings. I think they are supposed to be the fastest. You can also get these bearings in different types materials. Ceramic bearings are supposed to spin fast, and Aluminum bearings are supposed to have a long lasting life. As you can tell, I'm not an expert on hockey bearings, but I've had experience playing with them.
