Options For Mounting Gauge Pods on Your Camaro
For your Camaro, like other new generation cars, there are sizable options for mounting your gauges for optimal positioning, but by popular vote the A-pillar gauge settings are the best featuring both style and positioning. While looking for positions to mount your gauge panels or pods in your Camaro, for the best service one good solution is to install them in place of some unused equipment, like the radio on your cars. Several owners of third generation Camaros have installed gauges in place of the usual map pocket, your glove compartments, on the instrument panel right on the dash.
Moreover fourth generation Camaros that feature a cassette/CD storage compartment at the base of the instrument panel, just above the console, can easily be blocked off with a piece of plastic,in which you can mount auxiliary gauges too. i dont want to adjust the truss rod so what string should i get?
Either a 9 or 10 gauge, probably a 10 gauge unless you are doing more lead work then you want 9.
Or if you are detuning then you might want 11 gauge.
