How NOT to write a resume
Picture this: You have spotted a great job in the situations vacant columns of the paper, but the deadline for applications is looming. You rush off a copy of your resume and a covering letter by post or email. But in your haste, you have not had the time to sit down and go over your submission, let alone ask someone else to take a look. However sparking your qualifications and relevant your experience, a spelling mistake here and typing error there can wreck your chances and create the wrong impression. Worse still, your application can end up telling a potential employer much more about you than you originally intended. Glaring errors in your job application illustrate that you do leave things to chance. Most employers, faced with a raft of promising candidates, will see these errors as evidence that the applicant is not suitable, especially in a job where attention to detail is important. What will happen to these error-ridden applications? Most likely, the employer will read them, have a good laugh and then into the bin. You would think that in the age of personal computers, equipped as they are with spell checkers, you would have seen the end of these howlers. You are wrong. You cannot rely totally on spell-checking software as it is known to miss errors, In the end, there is no substitute for a pair of human eyes going through the job application. Of course, there are other ways ti let yourself down, whether it is on a resume or an application form. One of the most common mistakes is the use of humour , where you try to be witty, but end up sounding ridiculous, as the following howlers show:
( a ) REason for leaving last job: Maturity leave.
( b ) References: None. I have left a path of destruction behind me.
( c ) Marital status: Often. Children : Various.
( d ) I have an excellent track record, although i am not a horse.
( e ) Wholly responsible for two ( 2 ) failed financial institutions. "Fail" is a word that should not be used in a job application letter or resume at any cost. Some people seem to have a knack for saying too much, where saying nothing may have been a better idea, like the examples here:
( 1 ) Failed bar exam with relatively high grades.
( 2 ) The company made me a scapegoat, just like my three previous employers.
( 3 ) Note: Please don't misconstrue my 14 jobs as job-hopping. I have never quit a job.
( 4 ) It is best for employers that i do not work with people.
( 5 ) I procrastinate, especially when the task is unpleasant.
In summary, to avoid embarrassing mistakes in your job application, check what you write, keep it simple.

loose yoke on chevy rear end? 9.5 semi float?
The rear end was re built this past decmeber, and a month or two after the pinion seal was replaced, now you can shake the yoke on the differential, not alot but its enough to be worried about. whats wrong?
The guy that put the pinion seal in screwed up. Who is this guy? Why did you need a new seal so soon after a rebuild? Take it back and have him do it correctly. You may need a new pinion nut and seal. If you want to tighten it yourself, don't over do it. You don't want to over torque the crush sleeve, other wise you will change the lash on the ring and pinion.
