DESIRES: THE BURNING FIRE

It is the human heart that rules to whole being of man. Mind although always at work is often surpassed by the heart. Sometimes it appears that HEART AND MIND are in opposition to each other. HEART PROPOSES AND MIND DISPOSES. Mind where logic, balance, detachment, hold their court, often smoothens out the heart's longings, and makes man do things which he does not want to do. Heart is a flow, a reckless flow of human consciousness whereas mind is a barrage which tries to control the flowing waters. Mind tries to judge the passions, and divert them in gainful directions.

 

IT IS HUMAN HEART WHICH IS THE BREEDING GROUND OF LONGINGS, OF DESIRES, OF WISHES, OF DREAMS,  which drive men to use their brains and their mind to REALISE THOSE DREAMS. Mind, thus, is not a master, but a handmaiden of human desires and human dreams.

 

DESIRES have one quality which surprises me. THEY MULTIPLY ON THEMSELVES. They don't die even if satisfied. Human heart is the breeding ground. And like winds and waters which help a seed to sprout up, the external stimuli help the heart in having a thousand desires. It is not surprising if we can see that THE WHOLE OF THE HUMAN BODY, THE WHOLE HUMAN EMPIRE,  breathing with dreams, desires, wishes, and longings.

 

I DONT AGREE WITH THOSE who put heart and mind  or emotion and thought into opposition camps. Mind and thought follow the human heart and its feelings. The speedometer of a car starts working only when it has come to life. For me, logic has a thousand limitations. Logic may be born of a place drained of feelings, but feelings have a deep logic.  DESIRES, DREAMS, FEELINGS, LONGINGS, WISHES AND JOY OR PAIN have a deeper inset inbuilt logic which is INVISIBLE BUT NOT NON-EXISTENT.  Only  it requires a very deep penetration to locate it.

THE EYES, AND THE WHOLE BODY OF MAN, though made of flesh, are also circumscribed by flesh. From where the flesh comes, from where come the bones? When some bones are packed in a particular wrapper, they attain a definite identity. Otherwise, they belong to the whole. They are the whole. Flesh belongs to the whole mass of flesh available in the universe. Same is the case with bones.

 

LET US THINK OF the bricks. They are thousands in number, but they belong to the same soil.  And, if we look at and into the formation of the soil, here again are differences. At some places, the soil has the soul of a temple, at others, the soil has the soul of the slaughter house. All these are parental memories which become a part of the consciousness of the bricks. They have their history, their mythology and their anthropology.  And each brick has its different specific dreams depending upon its previous existence. No doubt, the matter comes from a whole, from the earth, yet it is the dreams which make it different and specific.

 

When bricks become a wall? WHEN walls become a house? When a house becomes a habitation? When a habitation becomes a society? When a society becomes a civilization?  OVER A SPACE OF TIME. WHEN THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SETTLE. WHEN THEY ARE ALLOWED TO DREAM. WHEN THEY ARE ALLOWED TO THINK. WHEN THEY ARE ALLOWED TO SINK IN. WHEN THEIR MEMORIES TURN INTO A RACE, AND THE RACE HAS A COMMON BLOCK OF FEELINGS, DREAMS, DESIRES, LONGINGS.... SOCIETY MOVES AHEAD AS A RESULT OF THIS MASS UPSURGE, MASS MOVEMEMENT TAKES PLACE AND THERE IS GROWTH, THERE IS DECLINE...

 

EYES EARS TASTE GENDER  - EVERYTHING PRODUCES JOY OR PAIN. WHICH COME STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART AND GO STRAIGHT TO IT. ALL TOGETHER FORM HUMAN BODY which is no less than a TALISMAN. A magic box from which no one knows what will issue forth, because no one knows what it has been fed with.

 

WHAT IS LIFE TO A BUILDING?  What does a building mean if nobody lives in it? Ruins, perhaps. The dwelling place of spirits, I think. But a building must have around it, in it and about it, a whole host of living people. So is this body. In relation to Dreams.

No dreams, this body is a haunted house. Fit for spirits. Dreams turn it into a living place. A palace worth living. A palace with a mystery,  a palace with a whole conglomerate of joys and sorrows, of peace and convulsions, an emblem of society and the cradle of civilizations.

 

DREAMS, DREAMS, DREAMS

O unfulfilled dreams,

How can I die?

Where can I fly

Imprisoned I stand

Between this earth and this sky?

Chevelle enthusiast..... can anyone tell me if 1970 SS Chevelles ALL came with round gauge dashes?

I'm considering purchasing a 1970 SS Chevelle, however it has the rectangular speedometer, typical Malibu-not SS, and the owner is telling me that "some" SSls came from the factory like this... the car has all the other SS indicators... 12-bolt, big block, all emblems, interior, steering wheel, floor console, buckets, sway bar, fuel line on wheel well-factory clearance for big block, front disc brakes... I'm told you really cannot identify a true SS by the VIN number.... can anyone confirm this on the dash please?

I had to look it up online, refer to source, to find this one out and it would appear that the 70 ss beast... i mean chevelle, all had round guages.
