Use Your Phone to Send a Picture Message

What do fireworks at a baseball game, cheerleading, and a blanket with sleeves all have in common? Give Up? Well, these are three pictures I have either sent or received on my cell phone attached to a text message. In this article I will cover how to send a picture message with your cell phone.

These instructions are based on my using the internal screen of an LG enV Touch LG-VX11000 cell phone and a picture saved on my microSD card to send a picture message. There is a link at the end of this article if you would like instructions on how to change camera settings to save Images to a cell phone external MicroSD(tm) Card.

Steps For Sending a Picture Text Message From Saved Photos

1. Open the flip and press the left soft key titled "Message"
2. Press 1 New Message, or highlight New Message and press OK
3. Press 2 or highlight Picture Message and press OK
4. Enter the cellular phone number of the person you want to receive the picture message
5. Press OK, the cursor will move to the text area
6. Enter text up to 1000 characters
7. Use the down directional key to highlight Picture
8. Press the Left Soft Key, use the directional keys and scroll through your photos to select the image you want to send and Press OK
9. Press OK, your image will be sent to the recipient and a confirmation message is displayed.

Steps For Sending a Picture Message Immediately After Taking A Picture

In the above instructions, the photo that I attached to the text message was already saved on my phone. The following instructions are helpful for taking a photo and immediately attaching it to a text message.

Steps For Sending a Picture Message Right After Taking a Photo

1. Open the flip and press OK
2. Press OK and highlight Picture & Video, Press OK
3. Using the directional key scroll to Number 5 Take Picture, Press OK
4. Using the internal screen, press OK to take a picture
5. Press the Left Soft Key to Save the photo
6. Press Left Soft Key, My Pictures
7. Use the directional keys to highlight the picture, Press OK
8. Press the Right Soft Key, Press OK to select 1. Send
9. Press OK to select 1. By Picture Message
10. Follow Above Steps 4 through 9

When sending a picture message you may be charged per message, check with your cell phone service carrier and your chosen cell phone plan to see what if any charges apply.

ok. so about a month ago i was able to send picture messages from my cell phone to my yahoo email account and actually recieve them in my inbox. Now i send them and they wont appear in my inbox.....if anyone knows how to make pic. messages appear in your inbox plzz help..thanx
